WALAAAA:
This is my coat of arms for the merged tribe: SHEIKH... wow what the heck is sheikh?? Sheikh is the arabic term for honor. In each family setup, the leader of the family (usually the husband in jordan culture) is called the Sheikh aka: the person of most honor. When the Sheikh of the family dies, a new sheikh takes its place. The reason I chose Sheikh as the tribe name is because in survivor, the person of most honor in the tribe is constantly changing. One minute you can think you are the person with the most power, and then next... you are voted out and there is a new sheikh of the tribe. It's this crazy merge tribal family that is struggling to find who their sheikh is... because everyone wants to be it. Now that there are no coaches left... the struggle to find the sheikh is upon us.
A big part of my coat of arms is the history behind the Sheikh tribe and how it formed. At the top I have 5 ribbons of different colors... White, green, orange, purple, and black. White is for Al-salt, Green for Karak, orange for Anjara, Purple for Mandaba, and Black for Amman which represent all the previous tribes of the season. A coat of arms explains the history of the country and in this case, the history of this game.
I lined the sides of the coat of arms with the buff of Sheikh. The buff is how we are identified and I thought it a perfect touch to bring together the coat of arms because it encloses all of the elements that make us the merged tribe.
In the middle of the coat of arms is a camel. Camels are found throughout Jordan and are extremely strong animals. We all made the merge and thus, like the camel we have weathered many elements to get here but still never give up.
Besides the camel, there are 3 things, glasses, a butterfly, and a dumbbell. Once again, representing our roots of mental, physical, and social tribe. We all came from one of these backgrounds and I believe, we all now embrace each of these things... there are no fractions.
Finally, there is a fire burning at the bottom because we are still alive. it represents our survivor torch... still burning.
