Ok, I'm all caught up on the Al-Shit tribe since they have the most going on... will have to watch the other tribe's confessionals in a bit:
I'm actually really enjoying "back against the wall" Carlos not because I'm an asshole and like to see an overconfident dip shit squirm, but because it's refreshing and I love to see a good underdog story. Sure, he's completely the reason that he's in that position now and sure, he's an idiot for calling out EVERYONE and spilling all the tea so early in the game, but if he makes it through this round and continues to move forward in this game, it'll be impressive. A lot of what he is saying is making a lot of sense, but the Dylan/Mandy/Shon alliance is super comfortable, so don't give two fucks about looking at some other dynamic that could royally fuck them down the line by drawing the line in the sand so quickly.
Kate is so clueless and seems to be out of the loop. What kind of conversations is she having with her tribe mates? With merely hours before tribal council, I'm not sure how she doesn't have an idea of the dynamic or what's going on - it's like she's just there and clueless without the guidance of Ricky. Her full-proof plan last round sucked and not even just because the boys didn't stick with their word, but because the people she chose to trust could give two shits about her - like she's being so duped right now, I just don't understand. Looks like she's going anyway, but she is a SUPER strong competitor and stands a good chance of getting back into the game based on her track record in challenges.
Shon being a bitch and being useless in challenges... not intrigued. I'm ready for him to be thrown into a situation to prove how great of a player he thinks he is. I mean, most people think he's useless, which he seems to be, but I don't think anyone likes or has connected with him in a way in which they would want to see him do well or understand the game he's playing and want to award him the win. I want to see him thrown into a situation that will make him squirm some.
Dylan is painting a huge fucking bullseye on himself by leading an alliance with two people who are blatantly not putting in 100% and a flip flopper who I wouldn't trust with holding change for me (Travis). If they keep Carlos this time and allow him to get to any portion of the game to talk to others, Dylan is by far target numero uno. I'm on the fence with my feelings towards him...
I'm not fully understanding Travis' strategy, but I guess he's covering all of his basis? He's keeping his options open so he can jump shit to whatever side has the control, but I don't feel he has any strong allies. Kudos to him for making the right decision last round and moving up the ranks past Kate and Carlos, but I don't see longevity in his game with this strategy, especially considering he's on the tribe that can't buy a win if their lives depended on it. I'd love in his 12038012 bajillion confessionals if he could give me a little more insight into his alliances and conversations versus a blow by blow of the challenge. Just sayin'
Mandy... she's nice, she got herself out of a hot pickle, but I want to see MORE from a returnee! I'm really getting bored and sure, she was in survival mode, but I'm just not really excited about her as a player.
This tribe is a hot mess.. I couldn't even fathom them coming together to win a challenge, EVER. I'm impressed that they even get as close as they do, but close isn't good enough.
